All the physicians are board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
Dr. Richard Johnson is a native Kansan who grew up in Valley Center, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas-Lawrence with a degree in Chemistry and in BioChemistry. He continued at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita to receive his M.D. degree. He completed his Residency Education at the Wesley Family Practice Residency in Wichita. After residency Dr. Johnson received a Master’s in Education at the University of Southern California. His practice experience includes private practice in Russell, Kansas; teaching faculty at Wesley Family Practice and private practice in Andover. Dr. Johnson and wife Wendy are proud parents of Isabelle, Aidan, Evelynn and Andrew.
Dr. Candi Nigh is a Kansas native, raised on a farm near Tribune. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. She attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine – Wichita Campus and trained as a resident in family medicine at Wesley Medical Center. Dr. Nigh and husband Chad are the proud parents of Noelle, Henry and Lilia.
Lahna Elliott was born in Hutchinson, KS and grew up in McPherson, KS. She completed her undergraduate studies at Central Christian College of Kansas in 2006 and earned her Master’s of Physician Assistant degree from Wichita State University (Go Shocks!) in 2009. She lives in Andover with her husband Brad and a son, Ethan. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and serving in Children’s Ministry at her church. She is honored to have the opportunity to work with the patients, physicians and staff at Family Physicians of Kansas.
Angela Hartschen is originally from Texas, but has lived in Kansas for 25 years. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University in 2002. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Wesley Medical Center specializing in Adult/Geriatric acute care for 16 years. In December of 2018, Angela graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Family Practice from Wichita State University. She lives in Andover with her husband Matt and their three children Tristen, Lucy and Clara. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending her children’s activities, and traveling. She is excited to be a part of Family Physicians of Kansas.
